Product description
This calendar has the weeks beginning on Monday, with Saturday and Sunday grouped together at the end of the week. This layout is common in the UK, Europe, and internationally.
The alternative Sunday-start variant (used on calendars in the US and Canada) is also available for this calendar.
This calendar is available for 318 languages, supporting general reference and language study.
This calendar features the Ido names of months and days of the week on top of a standard Gregorian calendar layout. Beyond its utility for tracking dates, it serves as an educational tool and functional decor (aesthetic object).
While the text features Ido (a constructed language), the calendar format adheres to the standard date system. This ensures that the utility remains universal.
Who is this calendar for?
Ido learners and conlang enthusiasts - For those studying or interested in the Ido language, this calendar acts as a tool for passive learning and vocabulary reinforcement. A cool way to immerse yourself in the language daily. English translations are included for reference and simple cross-checking.
Linguists - For professional or academic linguists studying conlangs (constructed languages), this Ido calendar serves as a reference tool and fascinating object of study. Make it part of your Ido collection or display it in your office or library.
Polyglots and typography collectors - For "language geeks" (professionals or hobbyists) interested in the mechanics and origins of different languages and who value the aesthetic differences in orthography of conlangs, the Ido calendar serves as an object of intellectual interest. You can collect calendars for various conlangs to compare their vocabularies. The minimalist design focuses on legibility and aesthetic appeal of the words themselves. This variant is bilingual (Ido/English) which further enhances its appeal as a typographic object.
Gift buyers - Choose this calendar if you are looking for specific, personalized gift ideas for friends or colleagues who have an affinity for conlangs. A niche, thoughtful alternative to generic stationery, this Ido calendar demonstrates that you understand the recipient's specific interest in the language.
